    The Dyret (in English: Animal) is a fast water caddis pattern, originated by Gunnar Bingen from Norway.

    Hook: Tiemco 102Y #13
    Thread: Benecchi 12/0, tobacco
    Head/tail: Deer hair
    Hackle: Saddle, dirty badger
    Body: Hare's ear

    nice looking fly and interesting tying technique.... you are making harder to keep my resolution to tie only the patterns I often fish.

    Nice tie, Hans. I've got to remember to use that technique more often of keeping a long tag end of thread to strengthen the hackle.

    Is the "tail" there for floatation and balance since it is a caddis imitation?
