    Default Broken Rod

While fishing today I broke my rod. The line was snagged when I went to cast and I broke 2 sections. I am still wondering how the heck I did this but I need to know how to get the correct sections. I understand TUSA numbers there sections backwards from Japan. This is a Nissin Prosquare I broke. Is the tip section considered section 1 or is the section after the tip section 1. Thanks for the help again.

For the Nissin Pro Square the tip is section #1. The section after the tip is section #2 and so on. That is the counting method used by Nissin, Daiwa, Shimano, Gamakatsu, Suntech, Shimotsuke, etc.

I am sorry to hear that you broke your rod but I do have replacement sections in stock.

A great thing about Tenkara - to just get another section.

OOPS. I misread the original post. I read Prosquare and thought Pro Spec, which I do carry. I do not have Prosquare parts. I apologize for the confusion.

Sorry to hear that you broke your Nissin, Mike. I do hope that you broke it because of a big fish and not a car door.

Paul, it was neither of those that broke the rod. But it was carelessness that was the root to the the least. Another reason to watch what you are doing when fishing fishing long lines twice as long as the rod.
