    Default Carp on dry

Hey guys...I'll have the opportunity to try some casts for carps in a big pond. Any ideas for which dries to use? MadamX? Caddis?

Ive had some luck with terrestials like beetles and hoppers.Plop a beetle near them and most times they will inhale it.

I've had luck trying to imitate what the carp are coming to the surface to eat, usually stuff dropping from trees like berries and blooms. Spring is a good time for this. Since it's fall where you are, look for nut husks and even squirrel and bird droppings.

What's wrong with Fenwick? I still pull one out every now and again.

Thank you very much, guys! i'll try your recommendations.
NCVirginian...when Fenwick returned to build the HMG graphite rods, I purchased a couple (8wt and 5wt) through Cabelas. I was very lucky because they finished it again after a short time. Fantastic rods, a shame that are not again in the market.

Not a thing wrong with them, I still fish the 5'2" and a 6'0" 5 wt. They were the rod to own in the early 70's wish they still had the rods...
