Happy Birthday, Warren. I hope that you have a great one and that you are able to spend a little quality time with a fly rod and a lot of quality time with the ones you love.

    Regards,
    Ed

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL!!! It was a good day and yes, Brad, I got up at 7am and was at the fly shop when it opened and purchased my Permanent Senior Citizen Hunt/Fish/Trap license! All for $11 and never have to purchase another as long as I am a resident of TN!! How great is that!! Another friend of mine and Jack Hise were at my house this morning and we tied up a couple flies and "shot a lot of bull" and then I went fishing for about 3 hours and caught 7 nice rainbows! Got home and my wife had maple syrup pecan fried chicken ready to eat! Topped it off with 3 peanut butter brownies drowned in carmel flavored ice cream!

I thank you all and am so proud to have my FAOL friends! You all mean a lot to me. Thank you, thank you.....

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

    rainbowchaser,

I will give you the recipe on one condition and that is that Butterfly gets a piece!

1/4 cup of pure maple syrup
    2 Tbsp mayonnaise
    3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup Progresso plain panko bread crumbs
    1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded to 1/2 inch thickness)

HEAT oven to 400 degreesF. Mix maple syrup, mayonnaise and salt in shallow dish. In another shallow dish, mix bread crumbs and pecans.

DIP chicken into syrup mixture, then into crumbs. Place on greased baking sheet. Spray top of chicken with cooking spray.

BAKE 15-20 minutes, turning once, until thickest part of chicken is 165 degreesF and coating is golden brown.

Not that difficult to make, but, sure is good tasting!!
