I've been unable to find a better price. This is what I spool on my reels. I've had fish test it out a few times in the last year - on my 3 weight, 6 weight, 7 weight, and 8 weight. It still winds up costing about $10 after tax to fill up a saltwater spool. Make sure that if you use some other subsitute you don't install something that has enough stretch to it that you crush your spool. I've heard of this happening using mono as backing, but haven't witnessed it myself.Originally Posted by bgreer
