    Never occured to me that it would stay split.

    Barr ties in the wing traditionally along the shank. Dubbing in front of the wing serves as the dam. He doesn't post but uses more of a fan shape.

    Ahhh, OK thanks... yeah I guess I do remember that now and I think I started out tying them that way years ago and ended up with my current method of winging it..... that's what's great about tying your own flies ~ you can experiment and do it your way!
