I'm going to take the kids out in my boat for starters. I'm not worried about casting, form, rules, I just want the kids to start holding a rod, know it's theirs and maybe catch a fish in the first 10 seconds or whatever. There is so much more to fishing than catching and spending time with my kids is what it's all about. I'll get to row around and actually talk to the grandkids, and who knows, a fish might bite or might not. Never to early to start. That's what my dad did with me.
