Cedar River Clean up
Anil, with Puget Sound Fly Co. is sponsering a Clean up of the Cedar River (King Co. WA)on 8/20/06. Trash Bags and Dumpster service will be provided.

Good luck with your event. I've organized a couple of clean-ups myself and think it's a hoot and a half.
I just wish it wasn't necessary.
Amie and myself took part in the Cedar river clean up last year. It was down right scary how much trash we pulled out. Amie and I got a thank you from some park workers for our effort. Anil and his crew from the fly shop put on a great spread and the prizes were just icing. We walked out with a pair of sock and a t-shirt and the knowledge we had made some good karma. Amie and I should be moved into our new home by then and are at this time planning to make it out again.
We fished with a freind and his budy afterwards and it was nice to fish the river after it had been cleaned up even tough only his girlfreind caught any thing.
If any of you live in the Seattle area this is a great cause to clean up this urban fishery.
