Default While we're on the topic of loans...

There's a little fishing lodge I'd like to buy, but I'm a little short on funds. At the moment, I can only come up with $35 000.

If anyone out there would like to loan me the other $61 965 000, I'll be in business!

Do yourself a favour and check out the link below. The photo galleries are amazing!

(well, I don't know if this shows up as a link... if not, copy and paste it into the address line)

    Thanks guys,
    Andrew

    Andrew,

Count me in for $14.77! If I clean out my car, I might could up my contribution to around $20. That's $20 US, mind you. I also have a jar full of foreign coins I might be willing to throw in.

Assuming that price is in Austrailian dollars, then it's "Only" about $45 million US dollars, or US$2,800 per acre.

I wonder if the wine cellar comes fully stocked (holds 10,000 bottles of wine)? At least that way you could stay happy until you had to pay the first monthly mortgage payment.

In US dollars, it comes out to 45.8 million, plus or minus a few thousand between friends. I'd pick it up, but Clark Reid, my long lost, half brother from different parents no longer guides there, so I'll give it a pass.
By the way, if you want to immigrate to NZ, you need to be able to invest three million US in the country. I think buying Poronui qualifies.
Also, you need to throw in some extra bucks for 16 foot leaders and rods that will turn over big cicada flies with those 16 foot leaders.

As soon as I get my tax refund I will be making an offer. Maybe if we get several hundred of us to go in together we could buy the place and have annual Fish-Ins there. It would be a great place to go in January.

Have I got a deal for You , the latest issue of Robb report shows that they dropped a couple million off the asking price . So you don't need as much of a loan . If you can get about 6,538,998 partners to go in with You , you should already have more than enough . Also Kiwi's like to dicker , maybe you could trade all that spinning gear you no longer use as part of the down payment .
If You do become the new owner , remember Your friends at FAOL , cause believe me If you own that chunk of river we will definately be your friends.
