Thread: Old Truck

    This is my favorite old truck. It's "parked" in a field just outside Centennial, Wyoming. I've photographed it every year we've fished near there ... this year the headlights have rusted off, and the wild roses are growing through the wood.



    I could only wish my demise to be as graceful as this old truck!

    This is the shot from this past year. We have it enlarged (33x22, matted and framed), over our fireplace. There's a classic beauty there! Smooth lines, a ding or two, a rosy complexion, and flowers in profusion for grace and smiles.

    I believe you are right,Betty.
    In this day and age of environmental cleanup I believe that truck should stay right where it is.

    Once upon a time when there was more there a boy probably climbed all over the old truck and drove it across the country. When we lived on the farm there was a tractor towed road grader in the pasture that was great to climb all over and it had big operational wheels that moved the blade, that brought back several fond memories.
