Default Grinches steal, torch guide's ride!

For those not in the know yet, recently a friend of ours in Edmonton by the name of Barry White whom had one of the first guiding services on the Bow River has been the target of a number of criminal acts. I have started to organize a grass roots efforts to help out a fellow flyfisher.

For more background and information, please see this link. Thanks for your consideration in this matter!

AND... I see you have a forum here dedicated to STOLEN merchandise. I will pass that along to Barry White to get a list together to post there. Some of the stuff taken truly was priceless indeed though and irreplaceable.

    Ranger Bob,

    They stole from Santa Claus!

Now we know why Rudolph's nose is glowing Red! I'd be mad as hell too, if I had to trade my drift boat for a modified golf cart on skis!!!

I never knew Santa's sled was a drift boat, but now I surely know why I grew up to be a Fly Fisherman. I believe! I believe!

Thank you for sharing the sad news of this tragic assault on Santa with us, and for providing us an opportunity to give a gift back.

    Terry

List all possible items on our 'Stolen" section. You guys in the area, print it out and take copies to places around you. Lets get ahead of this.

I would like to contribute but don't want to just start sending a bunch of stuff to Santa out of the blue...can he make a list and check it twice. We at FAOl will not be naughty but special nice....What a tremendous bummer. I would like to catch those guys.....As Howell Rines would have said. We tech redneck fishing, you draw your own conclusion what we will do if we catch'em.
Please keep us posted on the outcome of any developments on the recovery or capture. thanks, Jonezee

I will be seeing Barry next Wednesday when we present to him the items collected so far. I will ask him to prepare two lists then.. one on the stuff stolen.. and the other on what he needs urgently to get him back on his feet.

Will pass these along to you here and FAOL can work out it's own care package to get up to him then.

    Cheers!

    RB

Yea i heard about, the berry situation, quite crappy, hopefully the international reach of this site will see some of his stuff returned and perhaps some justice laid out. I still remember the time the guy tried to steal my dads, 25 gallon compresser right in front of us, he started to run, altough we did not beat him, he was surprised how heavy a compresser full of air can be

Barry received his flies and gifts here today. A list of stolen items is forthcoming to post on the Internet.
