Sorry I haven't been around much. Back in January, my 2 year old daughter had her hand shut in a door at daycare. A quick emergency room visit later confirmed that she did not break any bones, but one of her finger nails was ripped clean off. So I spent much of my time on the weekends with a kid in pain who had one hand wrapped in gauze to keep her from getting to the bandage until a scab formed on her finger., which took away any time for me to get the flies tied. They are tied now, and in the mail, and I expect to finish up the February swap in the next couple of weekends most likely. Not sure if I'm friends with any of you on Facebook or not, but if so, you probably saw the bandaged hand.

For February, I'll be tying The Walton Shell Fly.

OUCH!!! That really hurts big time. I hope she is doing OK , kids seem to bounce back faster than us old *arts.

Yeah, she's pretty much back to normal. Now, we're doing things so that she'll use that hand for things again. For a lot of things, she won't use that hand fully now cuz she's afraid of hurting her finger again.
