Default Winston Boron II MX 9' 4pc #5

It's been a while but this is the latest off my bench. Winston Boron II MX 9' 4pc #5 blank. This is one where the customer turned me loose the only requests being this particular blank and that I put something together for him that he would not see anywhere else. It was a lot of fun to be turned loose with an almost unlimited budjet.

The reel seat is Lemke from Goduster with a moose antler insert. The grip is cottonwood bark trimmed with moose antler. Just above the grip is a feather inlay. The stripper is from Angler's Workshop, The wraps are ProWrap 507-Pea Soup with black trim. Worked in to the black trim is an olive branch inlay done in NCP White. Guides are Snake Brand.

Please pardon the dust in the photos. By the time I got everything upstairs and out to the back yard, I was pooped and didn't give a rip if there was any dust on things

Be careful, Kevin. You are going to start making them too pretty to fish!

Thanks for the kind words, guys. The customer was tickled with it. Better yet, his wife liked it.

If it were mine, it would hang on my office or den wall when it was not out fishing.

Kevin, what is the trim on the guide that looks like a grizzly dry fly hackle feather?

That is the olive branch wrap. It is done entirely with thread. It is pretty simple to do, but time consuming. And it is on every guide except the tip top and on each ferrule as well.
