Folks,

Myself and two friends are putting together a do it yourself Yellowstone River Float / Fishing trip. (I have never fished the Yellowstone, although we have done similar trips on the Bitterroot, the Clark Fork, the Madison, and the Big Hole.)

We will be car camping, traveling up and down the river, rafting, & fishing. We will be out there the second week of September. (We will have two vehicles so finding shuttles is not an issue.)

Looking for any advice anyone is willing to share?

1. Good float / fishing sections (we are willing to float anywhere from Gardiner to Laurel)

2. Good Water levels (cfs to watch for or avoid)

3. Any river hazards or floating restrictions?

4. Fly Patterns to have?

5. Good car camping places ? National Forest, Private, or FAS sites?

6. Good bars, for cold beer and burgers?

Any info would be great!!

If you not interested in posting this kind of thing in a public forum, you can email me at nwwheeler@ntelos.net

I would be willing to trade info for anyone wanting to come here to West Virginia for trout and / or smallmouth...

Thanks.
