Thread: What time is it?

  1. #1

    Default What time is it?

I just noticed that the time one the forum doesn't reflect mine. I looked and looked for something like preferences which I think we used to have so we could set to reflect current time where we are .Thought I was getting old till I saw at the bottom of the page this...."All times are GMT -8. The time now is 07:05 AM."
Is it true we can't adjust the time?

The tag at bottom for me reads "All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:29 AM". The GMT-5 is correct for my time zone, but it is in fact 5:50 PM here. I realize that Al Sleet (George Carlin) used to present the Baltimore time as being completely different than any other part of the country, but even that had some basis in reality (it was the time that the broken clock on the Bromo Seltzer tower perpetually read.) This is apparently random.

It says it's 1:35 AM on the bottom of my page...

My cell phon says it's 7:55

I can see the hours being off, but the minutes?

Anyway, GMT-7 should be accurate for me here...but it's not.

    Don't matter though, does it?

Never noticed it till now but I note the same thing. Bottom of page time is shown as 3:21 AM but actual time right now is 9:44 AM. How can the minutes differ?

That's what I thought the thread was going to be about when I saw the subject. I was somewhat disappointed when I saw that it was actually a serious question.

It says I made this post at 11:50 AM, which isn't close to my local tiime or GMT. The minutes aren't even close.

Buddy....guess it doesn't matter much once one realizes what's going on .....but I responded to a thread that I thought hadn't been answered in like 10 hrs...when in fact it was only minutes.
