Thread: LL Bean Shoes?

    Default LL Bean Shoes?

Has anyone tried on LL Bean shoes? I am trying to buy some wader boots for my nephew and wondering if they size larger like Korker (2 sizes), one up or same size? I know the wader neoprene size makes a difference. The website says size half sizes down...That makes me think more of 1+.

    Many thanks!

    Rob,

I'd contact LL Bean directly and talk to one of their product specialists (they are always really helpful). In the past I've seen guidance on their site which indicates buy your normal size but of course personal preference plays a large part. On the plus side we are talking LL Bean so if they don't fit perfectly getting an exchange/refund will be easy.

I normally wear a 14 or 15 and never expected that the LLBean 15s would be much too large -- which they were.
I'd believe the half size down.

Good thought Brian. I didn't think they would be there today, and they run out of sizes really fast when on clearance. Their statement to go 1/2 sizes down makes me think they are already sized larger. I called, and they confirmed size as foot is. Now, with neoprene and thick socks...We might be alright. I already ordered them. Kid's a 9-9.5 Ordered the 11s. We'll see.

After reading the reviews, they do say 1+ for waders...Might be alright.

    Thanks for the comment

Rob, you made the right size choice. I wear a 9.5 shoe and I wear size 11 Beans wader boots.

I have a pair of bean neoprene waders and size 9 wading boots. I wear a size 10 shoe. It is a bit of a tight fit but they do work with my breathables they fit nicely, would be nice to go a half size up from 9's for the neoprene though. I find though that it is always wise to try the stuff on first if at all possible.
