    Default Pistachios anyone?

I used basic tying techniques to do these not to scale turtles . You can guess what their shells are made of. I needed a break from serious tying and just got carried away.

How cool! I bet LMB would munch on those, maybe even some big trout.

    Hey,

You might want to try making some beetles with the pistachio shells as backs. glue legs then foam into undershell. Or reverse that. Then, in some fashion, attach the shell to the hook. Create whatever illustrative beetle (outside) shell you want. I remember seeing this done a long time ago, I think in FLY TYER magazine but never tried the idea.
    Regardless, your turtles are amazing.

    AlanB...If I might make a fun suggestion...what about a triple-shelled (articulated?) version...turned into "Nessie"? I'd like to see that!

Well done with the tiny turtles, Fred!
