Default Cleaning out the sand box..

In memory of the late JC, I did a little cleaning..those who had posted on that string know what it is about.
Can't be cabin fever already - and Christmas is less than a week away, come on folks.

It always bothers me when I see things like this happen. Having the ability to communicate on a bulletin board is great, but it does not offer clues like facial expression and tone of voice. One person posts something they think is totally inoffensive. Another person takes offense and responds strongly. The first person gets mad about the response. Bystanders jump in according to what their interpretation was of the tone of voice. It escalates. Sad!

Maybe we'll solve this someday with more Skype-like bulletin boards

We've had two instances of this type of exchanges on our Central Iowa Anglers forums within the past 2 weeks. I was involved with one of them! I think it IS Cabin Fever!

Just remember at the end of the day, its just fishing, and we are all family.

    Dave:

And Iowans are pathologically nice! The local DOT can't use 4 way stop signs because everyone gets out and waives everyone else through. We need to get fishing again.

I'm lost here. Guess I need a Mason hand shake. Or, Mormon underwear.

..or a Hawaiian shirt. Oh, wait...

We gotta go fishing one of these days. Drop me a line if you are headed over to the Gunny this winter. Preferably on a warmer day than today.

    Hi LadyFisher,

Sorry it had to come to that. When I was a kid, some kids had to stand in the corner at school for causing trouble. Some things never change, folks just get older. This is just the equivalent of standing in the corner, so hopefully the folks will get the message and eventually be back.

    Regards,

    Gandolf
