    Default Lawson's Caddis Emerger SBS

Hans' beautiful Henry's Fork Caddis got me thinking about Mike Lawson's Caddis Emerger. It's worked well for me; a bit hard to see when the light's going off the water, which is when the hatch really seems to crank up. By that point, though, you can get pretty close to the fish and they won't spook making it easier to pick up the bug. When it's really dark you just pitch it out there and wait for the tug. If your nerves are good, you usually have a fish; if you're like me you break it off as often as not.
