Yes, was a good way to start off the New Year.
Kenny & I got up yesterday, frozen water line. uck!
He walked down to the pump house to find the heater was not set high enough?
There is a heavy brass manifold under the large tank & if not kept warm when very cold?
Anyhow, after turning it up and then slogging back to his house, waited about 1/2 hr
we again had water. It is about 3 1/2 hour drive over. We saw lots of wildlife on the way.
Drove down to where we knew everyone would park, all were down on the creek fishin.
We chose to fish the upper end and did well. As Z said, not easy to net but over there
Long Line releases are more the norm. We had taken a lunch so after getting to the
point of needing to thaw out fingers, met back at the truck, warmed up and ate.
I needed to thaw out the ice from my top 3 guides more than I would have liked but
the fishing was great and the beauty of Rocky Ford with a light dusting of white stuff
made the day a very good one. We missed out on a few bowl games but after all, one needs
to have Priorities!

Next year, Hopefully
