    Default Marabou Nymph SBS

This one's from Chris Schrantz of Ft. Collins, CO. Another simple to tie fly that uses a minimum of materials. Wally had mentioned tying with barred marabou so I gave it a shot here; unfortunately, the only barred stuff I had was pretty short which was a bit harder to manipulate.

    hook - Dai Riki 125 #18
    thread - Uni 8/0 camel
    tail/abdomen/thorax - marabou fibers
    rib - copper wire small
    wingcase/legs -pheasant tail

    Part 1

mash barb, attach thread and wire at 60% and wrap back to bend

tie in a few marabou fibers

    gather fibers

wrap forward to 60% mark; trim marabou (if you're tying for speed, let the butts hang off to the side and use for thorax after legs/wingcase are tied in)

    counterwrap wire through abdomen

tie in some pheasant tail fibers with tips extending over hook eye about 1/2 shank length

tie in some more marabou fibers

    and create a thorax

    divide legs
