I need some info on the 3 or 4wt tiger eye blanks. As much as you can give me if you own one or have built. I am thinking of building a 7'6" to 8' 3 or 4wt. Thanks and God Bless!

I built a Sevier tiger eye 6'6" 2wt 4 piece last year for a Christmas gift. It's a dandy little creek rod. Mike coupled it with a Battenkill I reel spooled with 2wt DT line. It does everything it should and looks good doing it. Jim

I built a 9', 3/4 wt., put an L. L. Bean Pocketwater Reel on it and it's my favorite small stream rod.
I have built several rods on the 7'6" 3/4 wt blank. In fact, this is my favorite small stream rod. The overall quality and finish of the blanks has always been good. They are a brown blank with slight redish tint, sort of like mahogany. I would describe the action is medium fast. I like them lined with a 3wt line which gives a slightly faster feel, while most people tend to like them with a 4wt line which gives them a more medium feel.
The only issue I have with them right now is availabilty. Sevier seems to be having some issues. I would also not count on the warrantee for the same reason.

Thanks for the info!
I've built probably around 100-125 rods on Sevier Tiger Eye blanks. Some such as the 6ft 2/3 are actually more of a 3/4, but besides being a tad under rated they are good blanks. BUT with that said....Dave at Sevier has been almost impossible to get a hold of on & off for the past year. So you may run into problems with contacting him.
