The Eugene Bend tied with hemostats is a leading candidate in the "great knots for poor eyesight" category.

When my own eyes no longer can see to tie the Pitzen, it will be my go to knot.

The eye glasses will help a lot. kinda hard to get that skinny tippet into the whole without clear vision. The glasses will also help you know that you have the tag end held as you pull the knot tight. When tying the clinch Also try pulling more tippet through the eye and then do the twists. This will leave a bigger loop next to the fly eye for you to send the tippet end through the loop. All the extra tippet will pull back out as you tighten the knot.

    btw:
the Clinch knot is easier and stronger than the improved clinch.

I should have said also that when tightening the clinch knot to pinch the tag end of the knot against the fly as you pinch the fly between your finger tips. Pull the standing end of the tippet to tighten the clinch knot. Don't pull on the tag end. - You probably already know that.
