I think the "Dividers" I used cost a couple bucks at an office supply store. The nice thing about them, compared to a "paper clip" is that it holds the exact measurement to then be compared to the other factor for comparison.

Anyone know where I could get the "Golden Mean" proportion tool that Sandfly mentioned? I tried all sorts of googling and got nada.
