    Default Red eyes helped

Went out today and got some fish. All on boa yarn flies with the red eyes. Red yarn worked well also.

If I don't see a photo of fish how can we believe you? Just kidding!

If I could make the camera work better that would happen.

I think a bead head on boa yarn flies is a plus factor. I mostly use silver lined glass czech beads. While I have had good luck with red I seem to do a tad bit better with orange. Yet again the color difference maybe that a fig newton of my imagination but I am sold on the addition of a bead.

I am a firm believer in orange. I will usually whip finish orange over the thread head of most of my flies. It may only be a confidence thing, but, I think an orange thread head produces more fish for me.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

For those who might not understand Uncle Jesse's reference, the University of Tennessee’s colors are orange and white. It is entirely possible that folks in the UK (United Kingdom, not University of Kentucky, or U. of Kansas), Scandinavia, and New England might not be aware of that bit of trivia. Reputedly the US courts have ruled that "Big Orange" and "UT" refer to the University of Tennessee east of the Mississippi River and the University of Texas to the west.

To complete the explanation, in the state of Tennessee it would not be considered unusual when you arrived at a person's home to find one or more vehicles in some combination of orange and white paint, to have a large amount of orange and white throughout much of their home or to find them dressed in orange and white, especially on a Saturday during the fall months, I had a dear departed friend from Knoxville, the first time I met him at a company picnic he was dressed in an orange shirt, white pants, orange socks, white shoes. He would have not stood out in a crowd on game day in Knoxville.
