I went to my Favorite River the Methow, but not after trout as the season was over. The new season had started Steelhead.
I arrived about 7:45 was on the river by 8:00. I was pleasantly surprised after about 20 minutes into my first run when the indicator
dipped I set the hook and fish on! The powerful tug... ok! let the drag do the work! What power! After about 20 minutes I finally got my first
look at the fish but it was not a steelhead but a very large Bull trout. I finally managed to get the fish to the net, unhook it, and snap a picture to share with everyone... and with a very gentle back and forth it swam away. What a magnificent fish. I did have a brief encounter in the early afternoon with a steelhead but it ended with a LDR as the fish sprinted up river and then jumped and spit the hook. It was great just
to be there on the river the rest was just a bonus!

I have a photo of the Bull trout beside my switch rod.
