Salmonfly variation on the basic Yuk Bug? First time I tried these was at the Barn's Hole during the fall run-up from Hebgen. Kind of an interesting experience; everyone hopping in at the top of the run, working down to the bottom and then starting all over again. Only place I've ever seen that done in the park. Saw some pigs caught, most folks using spaghetti and meatballs; got a real nice whitie on this thing (and a smallish 'bow).

Part 1
Mash down barb and wrap shank with lead-free wire (stop one hook eye width short so things don't get crowded at the finish line)
attach thread, cover underbody and brush with a little Sally
measure a clump of fox squirrel tail to shank length and tie in
trim squirrel butts at underbody wraps (makes for a smoother transition)
strip end of chenille to expose thread cord
tie in, and move thread to 50 % position on shank
tie in rubber leg near
and far
wrap chenille forward with last wrap in front of rubber legs
pull legs towards the back and wrap a piece of lead-free to keep them out of the way
