I think I'm going to have to show up with a blue Sharpie and make "gill plate" markings on Miss Betty's neck to make HER a "bluegill".

P.S. As a Toad I've discovered that hiding under leaves in the mud protects from Witches about as well as it does from Winter.

Getting back to Kansas, does anyone know if they are going to stock trout in Slough Creek this year?

I am guessing they put a few in the pond up on the north end.... the creek is 90% dry as a bone. I walked half of it during lunch on Thursday. Don't expect to fish it again this year.
