Default We Need an Intervention in Kansas

To our friendly members in Kansas, it appears the our fave, East Kansassy, Swamp Witch has not experienced proper (i.e. bluegill) angling all this Summer. Somebody needs to take her firmly in hand, (or broom, or even auto) and deliever her unto the still waters in which bluegills, shellcrackers, longears, and green sunfish doth dwell. I know that our members who are local to the area are capable of this. I've seen the pictures. If they should fail, then drastic measures will be called for. Don't fail. I don't think Kansas is ready for a Plague of Toads.

Ed, who's darned near a Plague all by himself.

P.S. The bottle is still sitting on the bed of my truck. I'm talking about the one that's half-full of multi-year-old, sun-ripened fish lure composed of assorted crawfish pieces. That brew should be riper than anything y'all have seen in a caldron. Don't bring that sort of plague to anywhere near your houses. If I take it to Kansas, it STAYS in Kansas! <insert Evil Laughter>

If I come, I'm bringing that vile vial of crayfish chunks with me, and I'm not taking it home.
Y'all need to take Miss Betty out for some 'gills.

I'm purty sure the airlines don't allow toad or frogs on them. That means EdD has to cross the Mississippi River on I-40 at Memphis; with the 18 wheeler traffic there, his chances are not real good. He could try swimming the river but Mississippi River catfish think toads taste like chicken. I guess you could put him in a FedEx box with a tube of crickets and he get there overnight.

Uncle Jesse, I could always cross the river a Paducah. I wouldn't hop to it, I'd drive. While I'd have to watch the 18-wheelers, there are a lot more 4-wheelers that warrant attention and concern.

Betty Hiner: Is that the Roaring River in MO, NC, TN, or some other state? Mighty nice water and a fly only section to boot.

Hey, Paul. This particular Roaring River is in Missouri. Smack in the Ozarks, right near the little town of Cassville. Beautiful any time of the year!
Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

The gills are getting a little skittish and scarce with the cooler weather around here, but the white bass are getting frisky. Will they do?
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.
