I would believe it because of the well known effect of the fish turning off following the passage of a cold front and the accompanying rise in pressure! I'd like to know if the "Chinook" condition in our northwest has the same, opposite or no effect. Also how the fishing goes in the Owens Valley when atmospheric standing waves form over the Sierra Nevadas and further east. Maybe tyflyer can fill me in if he sees this post!
