Default So long girl, we'll miss you

Well yesterday pretty well sucked as I had to have my Lab put down. The back legs were going and I was having to help her get up the stairs, and I wasn't going to let it get any worse. She just turned 18 in Aug and except for the legs she was in great shape. As bad as it hurts for me, I know she's in a better place. See ya Girl, you made our lives better by owning us!!!!

Please let me offer my condolences to you. All of our dogs have been members of the family. It has been long years since we lost Lady, but I can still remember her walking up beside my recliner and rooting my forearm up with her nose so that I would pet her.

Look at that beautiful face, and those trusting eyes. She trusted you to do what was right for her, and you did. Hard, but right.
    Hugs.

Fatman, I feel it for you. We went through it at the beginning of summer and it was, and still is, hard. Eighteen is a lot of years for a black lab, and yet no where near enough. You did the right thing, though.

Sorry to hear that fatman.... 18 yrs is a very good long life and it sounds like she was well loved in those 18 yrs.

    Fatman,

I want to offer my condolences. This may have been the worst summer of my life. Had to put my 2 dogs to sleep and it was very difficult, but necessary. My 13 year old Rottie was similarly afflicted. I know I did the right thing and I know you did too.
