I fished the Little and the Pidgeon last December. Not the hottest bit of water in the winter but, fishable. I'd go again in the winter. Trip to TN is end of October. (Darn!)

Yesterday was a dud on the tail waters for me. I used a St Croix 4 wt and couldn't catch anything. I had two hook ups on a spider but, I've been fishing so much Tenkara lately I forgot to strip in line. Imagine my surprise when I raised the rod tip and the fish was still on the other side of the river.

Well, I only got 1 trout and missed about 5 others. I also got 2 gills. Called it quits around 1230 then went to bass pro.

I yanked and yanked on that rod and the fish didn't get any closer. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Once I realized what I was doing I had to laugh at myself. (Offered a few choice expletives.)
We arrived about 2:00 and left about 3:45. I think I need to be there earlier or later.
