    Hey John,

My son fishes with one and loves it.
Its about an 8 1/2 foot 5 weight if memory
serves and he's caught some nice bass and
bream while fishing with me using the rod.
Appears to do a nice job for him. I did
cast it when he first got it and it felt OK
but didn't feel as light in hand as a
comparble stowaway I was fishing. Warm
    regards, Jim

I notice some are on sale right now.
It is curious to me why these rods do not have the same flex rating as their counterpart in the Superfine series.
Seems like a good price tho

My daughter fishes one and loves it. It's a 9 foot, 5 weight, 4 piece.

It's a pretty nice rod. Medium-fast action, nice looking reel seat. Only complaint is that it's a little on the heavy side.

But, so as not to violate another essential element of the fly-fishing tradition, the rocks would have to be quarried in England and cost $300 each."

    John,

I'm a real fan of Orvis Clearwater rods. Actually, I like the whole outfit that Orvis puts together: rod, reel, line, backing, sock, plastic rod tube and 25 year guarantee. I think that for the price, these outfits are one of the best deals on the market.

I own a four, six and nine weight outfit and they are my main fising rods. The midflex rods are a particularly nice fit for my casting style. They're also a very forgiving rod for a beginner to learn fly casting with. Orvis' service is second to none. My only regret with these rods is that Orvis is not a sponsor for FAOL.

Try 'um, you'll like 'um. 8T

It seems you got the info you needed, but I have a 7'6" 5 wt. that I really love - it was my first nice rod and it handled even better for me when i underweighted with a 4. NO complaints whatsoever.
