Default Full Sink Lines in Rivers?

Is it possible to effectively use a full sink line in stream and river fishing using streamers, buggers and leeches?

It depends on the river...a really large and deep river where you are in a boat, sinking lines are possible for streamer type fishing. I prefer a sink tip for most rivers, as even with an intermediate full sink, the line sinks to the bottom and drags (also it is harder to mend and re-cast out line because it has sunk to the bottom and doesn't shoot as well when it's underwater, you will need a stripping basket).
