Default Info. on LL Bean Bamboo Fly Rod?

    Hi Everybody,
Hopefully you can help me with what I have. I am looking for it's line weight, year it was made, what it sold for, what it is worth and why it says "Bean's LL" on it's shaft?
I just bought it and this is what I can tell you:

    1) LL Bean Bammboo Fly Rod, 8 1/2', new / unused? (plastic still on cork grip). The only writting on the rod is "Bean's LL". It is wrapped in black thread. It is a 3pc, 2 tip, all 4 pcs. are the same length.

    2) Rod Tube is alumimum, both ends unscrew, has it's label that reads L.L. Bean, Inc. Freeport, Maine. Typed on this label reads: 8 1/2 Foot L L Fly Rod.

    3) Rod bag is olive green canvas, no tag.

    Thanks, butternut-tyer
*I can't download pics. it says the file is too big.

Yes, I have done that too. I just got an email back from them and they said it was a Double LL Model and ask if I could send them pics. of the rod, rod tube, wraps and labels to better determin the rod. So, I have just took more pics. and in hopes of being able to send these to them. I'll keep ya posted...thanks.

Please post your pictures here so that we might all see the rod. Resize the pics!

Three piece two tip? Is the rod bamboo constructed?

Well, if your rod is in that condition and you paid a fair amount compared to what the guy said in his post, then you made a good deal. 8'6" is a great length and weight depending how it was made. They can get pretty heavy once you get into that length. Does it give ant indication of what it weighs? or have you weighed it yourself?

Just wanted to let you all know that I am still waiting to hear back from LL Bean's Archives Dept. on their findings. I still can not post pics here. * This rod will be up forsale as soon as I figure out it's worth.
