My wife and I were on a Caribbean cruise all week and there was one fish related incident I thought I'd share. While snorkeling to watch turtles in Cozumel, Mexico, we came up on another snorkeling boat that had a large 4-5 foot long Barracuda hanging out underneath it. I noticed it when it was about 8 feet away so I started backing off to give it some room. Just as I started back peddling, the idiot in the boat starts tossing out dead fish to get this thing in a feeding frenzy. I'm sitting there with a bright silver watch on my wrist and the Barracuda zips up to about three feet from me to grab a dead fish. I'm not sure if they understood what I was saying through the snorkel, but I suspect that they figured out I wasn't too impressed with their idea of snorkeling fun, or maybe they were just messing with the gringos. Either way, that fish was big enough to do some serious damage so we found other areas to explore for turtles.
