I finally caught one out of the river in clear water.
It was only about 15 feet from me, so I was able to clearly see it take the fly and I was able to get a really solid hook set before it decided it didn't want it. The fly was a pink San Juan worm. It showed 11 pounds on the bogagrip and took me into my backing twice on a 6wt.
