    Very nice fly. I'm glad you shared it with us. I'm thinking of substituting medium blue dun for the brown hackle, gray hare's ear instead of natural in the dubbing mix, and medium blue dun or gray for the tail. Tied in sizes 12-18 it would work well for a variety of our local, gray drakes (i.e. willowfly etc...)

    Scott, Ed, I'm glad that you liked, guys. Of course the moose hairs for the tail are for a better flotation and I think that the thicker fibers help to imitate the tail of a mayfly, also better. The synthetic dubbing (black) mixed with the natural grey seems to me a more "buggy looking" body. Just an opinion.
