    Wireguy:

I fished my version of a Yellow Sally over Memorial Day Weekend right where you'll be during the PA Fish-In. I caught a GAZILLION fish. See my post on page 2 under "PA Fish In" in Sound Off.

My recipe is basically just a size 16 Elk Wing Caddis.

I use Hot Yellow Ice Dub for the body. If you can't find it, use the plain yellow dubbing of your choice.

Yellow hackle if you have it, tied full palmer. If you don't have yellow, cream will do. I was lucky enough to find a ton of yellow Whiting 100 packs last year so I use yellow.

The wing is the lightest creamiest elk hair you can find. I find that most of the dyed yellow stuff doesn't flare out right.

That's all there is to it!

I've been using this pattern for two seasons on North Central PA streams with excellent results. It works for me all day, as a searching pattern even when I don't see any Yellow Sallies in the air or on the water. At dusk and in the evening when the naturals are out it works even better! It also floats great with the palmered hackle especially on the broken water that is so common on the NCPA streams.

    Have fun!

    Hi Wireguy
Another good yellow sally pattern to try is
    hook-your choice
    thread-primrose yellow
tail- pale chartreuse deer body hair
    body- pale yellow dubbing
ribbing- cream hackle palmered and trimmed on top
wing- pale grey duck quill section coated with cement
    hackle- cream
