I believe this is badger hair. Cool fly.

The traditional Yellow Sally is a great wet fly for all types of trout. The tie found in Bergman's "Trout" --
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana">quote:</font><HR>Body: yellow floss
Ribbing: gold tinsel
Tag: gold tinsel
Tail: yellow quill
Wing: yellow quill
Hackle: yellow <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
doesn't give the brightness of the yellow, it is intense.
Tied on a #10 wet fly hook, it livens up your fly box and works well in fast water.

I tie a stimulator and use yellow dubbing for the abdomen and yellow thread.
Wireguy;
After reviewing some of the pattern's and photo's I wonder how chartruse or yellow "Punch Yarn" would work for the body? I've got about 100 yard's of each.

Hey Jack,
Of course it will work. Why else would you
have 100 yards of each color.*G* You know
what Al would have said. Try it and let us
know.*G* I've been having a ball today
tying an assortment of flies with punch yarn
sent me by a kindly gent.*G* Warm regards,
Jim
Wow now I have several recipes to try and see how they work.
Thanks everyone
