9ft 9wt 4pc Musky Rod

This is one just finished up for a customer for some LSC Musky fly fishing. Blank is a 9ft 9wt 4pc. Wraps are Teal with Aquamarine metallic trim to match his blue colored Allen reel. Full wells grip has the rear cork ring left off and in place of that I wrapped the exposed hood in matching colors as well as wrapped the rear hood. Pacific Bay Minima fly guides were also used.

Reel seat is Amtak AW13 with his nic-name in the window opening and finished over the name for protection.

Super nice! What blank and action?

Mark it's a builders blank so no brand name, but it's actually a really nice blank for the money. It's fast with a nice crisp tip, but not so fast that it feels dead. I'd say the action is similar to something like a St Croix SCIV type action.

You must have the Blue & red Allen reel Newtyer1? Because that's actually what this person has. He sent me a picture of his blue & red Allen reel he picked up at the fly show in the spring and pretty much gave me free reign to use any colors as long as they went well with his reel.

Big thumbs up Steve. I got some Scott A3 but this one looks way better.
If I can get thru the next few months I may have you build me a switcher that I have in mine.
