Dumb Move

Forgot your fishing license like I did a week ago and remembered it after two casts on a nice little lake off the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Peaks of Otter Lodge. Luckily nothing attacked the fly before I had to quit for the day. Reckon two casts beats none at all unless you get a ticket for fishing without a license.

Caught a nice smallie on that lake - wouldnt you love to put a canoe on that thing????? I asked and was told NO! gotta be a way.....

My guess would be you forgot something.......

The dumbest thing I did (that I will admit to) is forget the drain plug in the boat. The severity of this error is compounded by how far from shore you are when it is discovered.....................

Hi Rick,

It's good to know I'm not the only one who does stuff like that. A fiasko for me was forgetting floatant and my dry flies, the ones that would have matched the mayfly hatch that was going on. I watched nice bluegills take the dun mayflies 10 feet away....and no floatant. I had a mosquito pattern that was in the ballpark size wise, and after one fish it wouldn't float, and I was done for.
