Trying to remember a flyfishing quote

There is quote that I know I have seen on this site regarding a guide saying something about most of what a trout eats is about 3/8" long, brown, etc. I believe that it came from a Kathy Scott book??? I have searched this site, but was unable to locate it. Anyone out there remember the one I am talking about?

The way I rmemeber it is 3/8 inch long and black.

I have read it in a book but I din't remember wheich one.

...was it more like "90% of what a trout eats is 3/8" long, fuzzy and brown"? I just read that somewhere recently, I'd guess in one of the newer articles from this week.
