    Default We All Need Fish-Ins

I've been fortunate enough to make it to 8-10 Fish-Ins, where I've managed to make lots of REAL friends. As we age and our physical abilities and prowess diminishes, we start to realize that one day we won't be able to go anymore. As I recall the Fish-Ins I've been to and remember the good times and great friends I've gained, a feeling of joy and gratitude starts to flood my soul. As we get older and find we can't go any longer, all we will have are the memories and the friends. Be sure to go to a Fish-In, or start one yourself. There is really no work to it. Just some communication with soon to be friends. It's time to make new friends, renew old friendships and create heart warming memories. It's worth it, I promise.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
    Fish with a Friend,

Me too. That's why I'm putting together this one in Virginia. I figured what the hell, every other state has Fish-ins why can't we and it seems to be taking off.

Joe, I agree with your message. Great people, sharing a love of outdoors and fishing. Just wish I was able to attend more of them. If any one truely knows me I am not a gathering and greating type of person. I much prefer quiet and solitude, but I love going to fishins

    Hey there,

How about posting some information about this? Okay, maybe you did and I didn't see it. Would yopu repost the info in a new thread? I and a friend or two may be able to get away or at least we'll consider it if we had some info. Where? When? License info? Estimated cost for accomodations, etc. Any info woudld be helpful.

    Thanks.

Can I just second or third or whatever the need for fish-in's. Last year I had a son born just a few weeks before the Montana fish-in. My wife stayed home with him, and I attended it, and had an absolute blast! It was one of the very few (3) times I was able to fish that summer. On top of that, running my own business really has put a stop to many of the extra curricular activities that I have enjoyed doing; podcasts, video's, etc. I simply don't have the time I used to. The fish-in's I have been able to make have been, well, for lack of a better term, 'life changing.' I have made friends through them that I will have for the rest of my life. Now that my son isn't quite as high maintenance my wife and I should be able to start doing a few more things with him in tow. They will both be at the Montana Fish-In...can't wait! The fish-in's have always been a highlight of my year, and perhaps I will be able to start attending more than one a year. I know we would both like to be able to make the Idaho fish-in too, so we'll see what life brings us...

If you have the chance to start one, or attend one, well, you should! It will be something you will most probably never regret.

Here are the two links. One for this site the other for another site which seems to have gotten way more comments. All the information is there. It will be June 23rd but, if you decide to show up on Friday, me and some other guys will be at Sherandoh Recreation Area campsite A6 on the white Oak trail

Joe, Couldn't agree with you more. Making new friends, learning to be a better flyfisher(thank you Z, REE, Richard, etc), fun, relaxing, adventureous, frustrating, beautiful country, frustrating, laughs, friends, frustrating. Couldn't ask for more. One of those must things to do. Jerry
