Thread: Almost heaven

    Default Almost heaven

I just returned from a two week vacation to Oregon. I had visions of big chinooks, summer steelhead, and a real relaxing time. My wife had other ideas. House hunting for retirement. My wife's idea turned out to be a great one.

This is the house we bought on the North Umpqua river.

This is the view from every window you see in the photo above.
It hasa view of my access and boat launch to the river about 150 feet from my driveway.

Now all I need is the retirement date. Until then I guess we rent this dream out.

You are going to give all of us a guided fishing trip after you move in aren't you.

I will be fishing the upper part of the North Umpqua tomorrow. May hit Diamond Lake also. What part of the river is the house on?

So are ya renting camping spots and rooms to FAOLer's? Congrats on a very nice house with an even better location. Bet you would have settled for a ratty old singlewide on that spot, huh?

elkhunter, the house is on the north fork of the Umpqua about 3/4 of a mile up from the fish ladder at Winchester. Right near the community college, I-5 exit 129.
