    Default Harry Mason AKA Bones

I just saw on antoher site that Harry Mason of www.troutflies.com has passed away. He was a member here with the name Bones. He was a nice man and a great tier. His website has some of the best and most detailed step-by-step tutorials around. He will be missed.

This is such sad news. I first meet Harry back in 2000 while taking his intermediate fly tying class. I enjoyed catching up with him at the fly fishing show. He was and always will be a class act. I will miss him. Prayers to his family and friends. Rest in Peace Harry.

I'm so sorry to hear about Harry's passing; my deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones. The fishing world is a sadder place without him.

    Regards,
    Scott

Harry got started with the internet pretty early on. He was one of the first to put high quality, sharp-focus fly closeups on the net. The reigning world champion in that regard is now Hans Weilenmann. Hands down. But Harry was the first. Harry helped me out with fly photography as long as ten years ago. He told me what equipment he was using and explained his lighting setup. I'll be forever grateful to him for that.

Sorry to loose Harry - gentleman and a scholar. He survived cancer but not the treatment (as he explained it to me). Our sincere sympathy to his family.
