Default Spring in NY so far

So far this has been an above average Spring here in NY. I have visited quite a few streams I don't fish much, have never fished at all, or are not even listed as trout streams. With the exception of an outing on Good Friday, I have been successful in both numbers and quality of the fish taken. And it's even sweeter when a good percentage are being caught on some of your own ties!

Looks like some fine fishing Wizard. Allan and I were out Saturday... all be it a cool day we took a half dozen fish .I was amazed to see march browns coming off my home waters so early. I live and fish in Chemung county/south central NY.

Very familiar with where you are, I believe the Cohocton joins the Chemung down there doesn't it? I live in Wyoming Co. but fish all over Allegany, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, Livingston, and a bit in Steuben, whenever we hit the Cohocton. Additionally I go to a Fish In in Pa every year, until this year, work has interfered. I have not seen any MB's yet but the Hennie's came and went early this year.

The march browns are coming off the Pine as I write this. Not unusual for the weather we had.....Glad to see you get out Dave. You will be missed this year. Not sure what next year will be like as this will be my last year for the Fish-In.

I heard the 2013 PA Fish-In is gonna be held at your new cabin.

Dave can take care of any tree removals you might need.

Holy crap!!! Look who surfaced...Hey Ed, hiya doin???
Yea, I paid 4 grand for that and I should have called dave instead.

Actually, I'm thinking of taking a road trip to Maine next year during the same time. This year was not good for scheduling, not that it's anyones fault, just that trying to juggle things around was not fun this year. We had 5 people drop out this year. Getting new recruits wasn't that easy.

As for the cabin, well not sure it'll be ready for 2013 but 2014 will be the year it should be done.
