Umless you intend to print the pictures you take, there's no reason to take them at a high resolution ,4 or 5 mp. Your computer monitor resolution is probably under the 2-3 mp resolution and more mp's are a waste of space. If you lower your resolution, the pics will appear smaller here on FAOL BB too killing two birds with one stone.
