Default May 2012 Swap of the Month

I will be hosting the next swap and being the month of May I thought it appropriate that we do Mayflies (not really imaginative)

    - more particularly extended body Mayflies.

Duns, nymphs, spinners whatever you feel like creating - there are lots of recipes to choose from.

Gigmaster - Davy McPhail Detached-Body Dun - received
Bill Houk - A deer/elk hair body paradun (probably)- received
    Rick Z- received
    Texfly -received
    SJO - received
Icemanxxxv - Extended Body Comparadun- received

OK, I'm going to Orvis and buying a dozen. This one is kicking my behind. Any good, simple, easy extended body patterns out there?

Nore vise would be nice - just don't happen to have one yet.

I am sure you can tie this on any rotating vise maybe just a little slower.

This a link to Jason Borgers - some neat ideas

Some of these on the last page of Hatches Fall 2008

Finally... My trash can is full of ugly globs of elk hair and moose mane but, I finally got some bodies that look acceptable to me (and probably fish). Tied on a R50 # 10, moose tails, elk hair extended body, super fine dubbing, a polyester post with grizzly hackle. Thanks for the challenge!

    You are welcome

My trash can is full as well, along with my little box of - they will fish but I am not putting them in the swap flies.

I started on the moose and elk hair fly as well, but gave up before both species became endangered to supply my attempts.
