Default Bulk Foam for Popper Bodies?

This subject has been brought up before but, no clearly good source of bulk foam cylinders for popper bodies has been described. I thought I'd ask the question again in case someone has found a source.

How many poppers do you intend on tying? If it's just for your personal use, then one or two pairs of different colored flip flops (especially the ones with inch thick soles) should last you at least a year. If you're tying commercially, then consider the large blocks of dense, closed-cell foam used for Yoga exercise.

I use bullet casings to cut out my popper bodies. Just drill out the primer, slip a 1/8 inch bold into the shell so the threaded end comes out the back of the shell and tighten down a couple of nuts to hold the bolt in place. It now fits into any drill chuck and there is close to zero waste. The best thing is that shell casings are usually free and they come in so many calibers that you can make any size poppers you want. I have a set that ranges from 22 caliber for bream upto 50 caliber for large bass, pike and saltwater poppers. Just a thought...

Are you asking for a foam source to plug your own...that's been often discussed...
Or are you asking for a source of preformed bodies?

Backing rod. Used for filling gaps when installing tile. Comes in many diameters, and coils yards long.

    This one's easy. www.softtiles.com.
Foam mats you punch holes with using a hollow punch from harborfreight.com
You wanted bulk and these tiles are 1'x1' or 2'x2'. Prepare to order a bunch because it make shipping worthwhile.

Backer rod is kinda soft, and the mats are of limited thickness. The key is women's flips with heels.

Blatantly stole this pic, but it gets the technique across.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have some backer on order to see if it will work. I'm looking for a reasonable source for my own use but, I give a lot of flies away and tie for friends so 100 or so would not be unreasonable. That works out to $3.00 per dozen when buying the foam at the fly shop just for the foam.
